| Details: | On Monday, July 17th, 2006, the East Tawas Fire Department responded to several calls of power lines down, power poles down, cable lines down, power lines arcing, trees in roads, an overturned camper, and carbon monoxide alarm. The department responded to 18 calls in 5 hours. Several apparatus as well as personal vehicles were used to secure locations and direct traffic. These calls were generated by a strong thunderstorm that created very high wind speeds. |
